My name is Tyler Termini, a web designer based in Louisville, Kentucky. I believe there are three ingredients that make a quality website: fresh and clean design, visibility, and extremely easy management for the client.
I like clean and minimalist layouts, so the user doesn’t have to think to navigate the page (but I am not limited to this). I pay a lot of attention to typography; Since text is the meat of the page, it is important that it fits in with the other elements. A matching logo and theme will also help you develop as a brand, so visitors will recognize you at first glance.
A website must also be visible, that is, to search engines. You want your website to be found. I employ various Search Engine Optimization techniques to achieve this.
Finally, a website must have an easy way to manage it, especially something like a blog. You shouldn’t have to go running to your web designer every time you want to make a little change. That’s why I integrate WordPress into all my websites. It allows for extremely easy content management, letting you take the controls of the back-end after launch.
